Do you think it was worth the work? I've seen those ebay fender flares (probably a little easier than bushwackers) painted for $100. Someone posted about it on here (it was their dealership, the painter was a "nice" guy). Not sure on the hoodscoop.

thats frickin crazy!! I hate body shops these days. The price of labor is frickin retarded expensive. I wanted a quarter panel replaced on my 66 and they quoted me a minimum of $2000 and up to $6000. So bondo became my best friend . Anyway you should try a different shop. I found a pretty good shop who is painting my whole 66 for $1000. Thats a whole car. Id think some flares should only cost about $200.

Not sure about the flares , but I found an ebay seller that sells the scoop. He also had the option of color matched paint for an extra $95.00. I don't know if this is a good price, but maybe it will help.

actually since the scoop is plastic a flex agent has to be added so the paint doesnt crack. i dont have a price on just the scoop but i got my scoop rear bumper and roush chin painted for 300 even. usually its the more you want painted the cheaper it is

Crazy. I was just quoted 175 bucks from an in-house body/paint shop at a local Lincoln/Mercury dealer to have my 06 front bumper painted and cleared, however this is with the bumper off the truck and me bringing it in.

Not to hijack the thread, but on another note, I removed the F150 badge on my tailgate and plan to have the holes filled, so the end result will be a clean tailgate with just the Blue Oval in the middle. Has anyone here had body holes filled? I'm trying to get an idea on pricing.

I paid around $600 for my Roush chin spoiler and grille insert to be refinished and repainted due to a crappy first job, some black lariat fender flares that I had purchased off ebay to be refinished and repainted, and my mirrors preped and painted. Everything came out great, but I still have yet to install the flares, spoiler and grille insert.

I'd do some shopping around, $900 is a joke.

Someone in a yellow lifted FX4 on FTW shaved their tailgate. Wouldn't be a bad idea to ask him.
