YES! You're right! I was wondering where I saw these.

I wonder if they're the same as what HIDPlanet was talking about earlier? He never posted pictures, just explained them.

Well, who ever he is,........ He's a tail light pimp

We have his plate number, isnt there some one on this board who knows how to stalk?

Surely some one can get him to tell us where he got them from.

Yep, I'd definately pimp these. I'm not exactly crazy about the depo ones myself either.

We definately need to find out where this guy got them!

I dredged back through with a search and found the auction...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Led-T...QQcmdZViewItem -- thanks to Houstx

The picture in the auction is a dead link but, none the less, this *is* the same set of lights as shown earlier in this thread.

I have emailed him to see if he can still get these... additionally, I'm going to be contacting laredo texas to see how he/she likes the tails...

LEDS are gone!!!

Well, just want to let you all know that my truck was stolen last friday!!! so no more LED tail lights for me. I will still answer some of the questions you guys have:

1- I got them from a local store I paid $299
2- The parking light will only light from the bottom portion.
3- The brake and turn lights will light the top portion.
4- I really like them, no moisture would go into them like other ones that I have had, no leds burn on the 4-5 months that I had them, something that is very common on this after market led tail lights.
5- Would I buy another pair, YES.

Hope this helps

First and foremost... sorry to hear about your truck...that REALLY sucks.

Do you remember what brand the tails were? Maybe the store where you bought them?

How crazy is this, we find the guy this fast and he has his truck stolen! Laredo, I really feel sorry for you as you had a nice ride put together. Hope you can get the insurance for it.

I don't know how much everyone would like the taillights to have taillights where the top only lights up when using turn signals or brakes.

Yes, I'm worried about the same honestly. Plus, it seems like this may be a DOT issue and, in turn, potentially the reason that we're not seeing more of these sets on the market/in use.

Exactly what I was thinking, that just seems like too little light at night coming out the bottom. It's an easy fix, but I'm not into spending $300 on something I'll need to "fix".

I'm talking with someone regarding building several sets of 04-06 F150 taillights.

The would just be OEM taillights that are modified to use an LED pattern in the place where the halogen top bulb is. This is exactly what we've been looking for and it's plug and play.

The only thing is it wouldn't be DOT approved, but honestly who is going to pull you over for this? I'm more likely to get pulled over for not using a turn signal.

The top LED pattern would be a block pattern (like all that we've seen) and it would control the park lights, brake lights and turn signal. With two LEDs on the side as side markers for safety purposes (look at the euro style LED taillight and you'll see what I'm talking about).

The company will be getting back to me soon regarding price and I'll report back. If they're interested in setting up a group-buy scenario for a discount I'll contact RP directly first to set this up according to the rules.
