Bull Bar finally Installed

Alright it is finally on, I went ahead and tackled it myself and ended up having to cut a portion of the bottom of the air dam to get it to fit, but I ended up saving $75 and have the satisfaction that I did it myself. Let me know what you think.

Looks good. Are you going to put lights on it?

Yeah I think I need a set of lights and a billet grill for the bumper to complete the look. What set of lights do you have on yours? Are they hard to install if you don't have the factory fog lights?

I have the 100 watt KC Daylighters. They are not hard to install at all. I tied them into the high beems so they have nothing to do with the fog lights.

just one question, do you have to remove your tow hooks to install the bull bar guard?

Mine doesn't have the tow hooks so I had to install mounting brackets inside the frame. What a PIA that was because the frame goes almost all the way to the bumper. Thought I was going to have to take the bumper off to get them in, but I ended up getting it done with having to do that. I did have to cut away more of my air dam then I originally thought I would though.

on the 4x4 model you shouldn't have to do any cutting on the air dam because it's cut out for the tow hooks, yes or no? also how much does that bull bar weigh? i want to put a 2" leveling kit on mine but if i put the bull bar on and it weighs to much i might get the 2.5" to keep the truck level.

Where did you end up buying your lights from? Are they the 4" size? Thanks

You are correct, on a 4x4 no cutting is required. The bull bar is not heavy at all. It doesn't weight enough to effect anything.

I think I bought them from autobarn.com. They are 6" lights. Here is a pic of them. Hope it will help.

I had a bull bar on my 2004. But, I've come to the conclusion that they just don't look right unless you have some sort of lift on there with bigger tires. But, thats just me. Don't take it personal. I actually have my bull bar/lights sitting in my shop until I get this one lifted.
