Ford ESP, Extracare or Premiumcare?
I have 34.5 K miles on my 2004 F150 Screw XLT and i am looking into Fords ESP. What do you guys think, should I go with the Extracare at $1,350 or the Premiumcare at $1,580? Both of these prices are for 6 year / 100K coverage. I am just not sure if the Premiumcare is worth it. Is there anyone here in the know that has an opinion?
Thanks

PC is as close to bumper to bumper that you are going to get. They have pamphlets on the items covered. There is a big difference.

Please, PLEASE don't pay those BS prices.
There is ALWAS room to negotiate that stuff. Call each dealer from home and let them know you are "considering getting an extended warranty and you are shopping around for the best deal."
After you do your rounds, call the guy back with the best price and say you got a quote that was $100-200 lower than what he first said, and ask if he can beat it. Bam...

MHP, I bought my PremiumCare 7/75 for $150.00 less than you were quoted for the ExtraCare. I bought mine from www.fordwarrantys.com.

Well, when I bought my Focus 10 days ago they tried to sell me on their extended warranty which normally ranges from $1425 and up... they dropped that, got quiet, I didn't bite so they then went into how for that weekend they were having a sale and the warranty for 6 years 75k miles free rental etc for $900. I knew I wanted the warranty, but I didn't tell them that.
I totally acted like I would "think about it and call them if I changed my mind".
Low and behold right before we wrapped up the paperwork they offered to do it for $795 OTD. I said done
That price seems high. I know it could be had for something closer to $1,200. Keep shopping and bull****ting amazing price quotes and see what happens.

Thank the Lord I found this thread...you guys saved me a bundle (not that I would have paid this anyway) but check out what my local dealer just offered me over the phone for the PremiumCare plan...this is just ridiculous.
4yr/75K miles - 2400.00
4yr/100K - 3300.00
Just purchased the 4yr/100K plan PremiumCare ESP (same exact plan) with RentalCare for $1300.00 from Fordwarrantys.com. I thought I liked the dealer and service guy...looks like he's trying to make a quick buck..It almost pisses me off. Should I go visit them or what?
Thanks to whoever pointed that fordwarantys.com site out.

I just took a look for my truck and the price differnce between 4 years and 7 years and 100000 was over $1000.
"The Ford ESP plan terms you select start from the day the vehicle was purchased brand new, with zero miles, whether you are the original owner or not.
For example, a 5 year/60,000 mile Ford ESP plan begins on the day the vehicle was purchased brand new and will last for 5 years after that date, or until the vehicle's odometer reads 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The plan terms DO NOT begin after your manufacturer warranty expires. The Ford ESP terms begin on the day the vehicle was purchased brand new with zero miles by the original owner, whether it was you or not."
