No its not a chirping noise at all. It sounds like a pie pan being bent back and forth. Sometimes I can go push on the wheels with my hand and they'll make the noise.

Mine was doing the same thing. I figured the 4X4 soleniod was going out but I never got around to it. I change my front pads last week & now the noise its gone.
