Anyone know the cost of replacing the spare tire lock on a 2005 F-150? I had a flat tire recently and when I took it in to get serviced the lock was somehow lost. TIA

 

The spares on these trucks are such a pain in the *** to get down I wouldn't worry about anyone stealing it.

 

Heh... I hear that man. This is the first full size truck I have owned and I was one unhappy motha changin' that tire lemme tell ya. Im not as worried about someone stealing it as I am covering up the hole thats there - it sticks out like a sore thumb!

$78 bucks direct from Ford dealer for the #$%@# lock. Plus another $44 dollars to "configure" the lock so figure about $130.00 from the dealer.

I did find the part online however, for 54.99 here is the site.
