Unhappy Please help with New Truck

I purchased a new Black F150 FX4 4WD 5.4 last sat. I have found two deep scratches and when I put a mag light on it at night. I find that I have a million little scratches, swirls, and sand paper looking scratches all over the truck! Last thing I remember is that the sales guy took it around to let the ford guys wash it. I bet they used a hard brush. Please, this is a new truck 06 with 200 miles. What can I do about this? Do I have any hope in getting a new truck? I could not tell it had all this because I bought it in the middle of a sunny day.
I wish I could get a new truck, maybe green or something!

Thank you for reading!!

Black??? Get used to it. It's the WORST color to keep clean, shows scratches, dirt, etc. That said, it's BEAUTIFUL when it's clean.

Past that, talk to your sales person about it.

I guess what I am saying is that I have never washed it. Where did the swirls, scratches come from and who is responsible?

Angry I have found what appears to be touch up paint!

Yes, I found two small "chips" the size of an O that has different color paint in it!!! I will never sleep tonight. I am soooooo pisssed! I did'nt want anything to be wrong with this truck.

I wonder what my legal options are?

When i picked up my wifes 06 Mustang GT everything looked great, 1 week later i found that an entire quarter panel had been repainted and you could tell. After several trips to try and work something out with the dealer i have no compensation as it appears they don't have to tell you about touch ups unless they cover more than 25% of the body. This came from the sales manager, i don't know if its true, but after 4 ford trucks and 3 mustangs, i will not be buying ford again!

I look this way, if a new truck is being sold as new then it must have factory paint 100%. This not how I wanted this to be...I feel like its a breach of contract because I wanted a new truck with factory paint (no touch up) and no swirls, scratches. This is so depressing.

So you aren't going to buy any FORD products because ONE dealership that happens to sell Ford vehicles runs a crooked operation? I think not buying from that owner (nomatter the brand) makes sense, but the automaker? No relation the way I see it...I think that reaction is a bit extreme.

We all know Ford won't do a thing to correct the problem.....So that would be it for me too.

I do want a ford truck, the truck I bought. I am just am worried nothing will be done about it. I mean do you really think they will take this truck tommorow and repaint it?

Well i went through a similiar situation with my Factory Ordered F150. I specifically told them not to touch it when it arrived as i would send it to my detailers and they would clean it up and do the paint protection, undercoating, and interior protection.

When i went to pick it up from the detailers, i noticed primer showing through above the rear taillight, as well i noticed a few days later they didnt even paint the top inside of the drivers door.

Needless to say i spent way to much time and effort getting Ford to fix the paint, that i would honestly take your truck back to the Dealer, and get a new one that they havent had a chance to scratch up yet. As well pick your truck up on a sunny day, move it around so that you get a good look at it before you sign of on it the second time around.

Without giving you all the information, your right, it is a little extreme!

i don't have enough time to run down all the problems i have had, with the exception of my 2002 GT, i have never had a trouble free Ford, Transmissions seem to be the main issue.

To be honest though, it was a 40th birthday present for my wife, i wanted it to be perfect, and she was the one who originally noticed the repainted panel. It came from the factory this way, it still had the protective film on it when i first saw it and it was wrapped over the damaged panel. So as far as i am concerned it is just as much the automakers fault, why not do a complete repaint? Especially since i had ordered it, it wasn't a lot buy!

Judge me if you must, but all i think about when i see that car is the front quarter.

I really don't think you guys realize how often this happens. My old 2004 F-150 had the whole hood repainted without me knowing before I picked it up. Damage a lot of time occurs during transportation or loading/unloading of the vehicle of the truck. What else do you want them to do? Send the truck back because of a little damage. I agree I'd be a little upset as well but be realistic. I'd talk to your salesman and talk him into having the dealer pay for a full detail to remove the swirls and scratches from someone you approve or you'll be forced to use legal action, they'll think twice about it. Trust me.

Well with all the stuff that was wrong with my new truck, it musta fell off the transport truck and landed on the drivers side cause every thing on my drivers side was messed up. My signal in the mirror was off time with the truck, the paint on the doors and bed was horrible, you can tell they tryed to buff it out so i wouldnt notice. And that tape.........wtf was up with that? The dealer told me it was there from factory......dont think so. So yea, new're truck. End of my hassles with ford.
