I had a close look at one of these last night a Honda Shadow VT600C. I was thinking very seriously about getting one for commuting to work. Alas, the boss shut me down pretty fast, she has it in her head that buying a bike means I will crash and die. I dont think there is much I could do to change her mind. Oh well.

His point was about the amount of money he is spending on gas, not the amount of miles he's putting on his truck.

I was just stating the fact that he'll be saving mileage as well.

Every biker I have ever known has had a bout with road rash -- seeing that pretty much cured any desire I ever had to own a bike!

While I enjoy the exhilarating feeling of being on a bike, I can never seem to escape the nagging feeling that I'm on "borrowed time" with the things, so I gave up the thought of ever owning one. Too many cars to buy yet anyways -- all my spare change is going into my "Mustang Fund"....

Good luck with your ride though, and keep her upright for as long as possible!

SWEET BIKE MAN!!!

I love the new R6's. My first bike was my 02 R6 that I bought new and still have. That thing still seems to amaze me with its power. Nice choice and stay safe... Go Blue!!

Yep, My Dad used to have a ZX-6, and he layed it down while riding up a tight curve in the mountains doing around 70 MPH. He quit riding after that because of my mom, but he says he would still ride if it wasn't for her.

I'm sooooooo sick & tired of people that:
1. Know someone that crashed. They always tell you, "Them moorsykels are dangerous didn't ya know"
2. Know someone who's significant other "will not let them ride anymore"... This is referred to as being p$ssy whipped. It's called grow a spine and ********* and use them.
3. Go out of their way to convince you that you are going to die at any minute just 'cause you ride...

Get over it... People ride because we like to. No amount of BS or urban tales are going to change this. "04 ON 20's", get your bike, take an MSF class and ride the hell out of it. Just be safe, wear quality equipment, avoid NJ & you'll be fine...

KC-10 FE out...

I posted in another post about my new bike and here the pictures as promised. The garage is a little messy, but deal with it.

Yes, if you drive as much as I do it's a no brainer on getting a bike for fuel savings. My insurance is a whopping $33 a month full coverage. payments 233. I was spending between 650-700 a month in gas. Plus its fun who cares.

When it comes to bikes you either get it or you don't!
