When im at the Lakes driving down town on the "loop", i put my hitch in incase some retard runs into me. I figured it would put a nice crease in their hood or bumper

, I leave my skewer on all the time; Nothing like a nice ricer-ka-bob. Btw, Thump the truck looks great, bet it sounds awesome too.
Thats really the only reason I keep my hitch in at all times. . this hitch was free from the dealer. I just know that if you run into that sum bi that you're vehicle isn't going to be in too good of shape. Its funny, my dad usually keeps his in for the same reason, took his out the other day, and bam, someone ran into the back of him. I mean it wasn't bad but Im sure if he had his hitch in, they wouldn't of touched anythng but the hitch.
Thanks for the compliments guys!

I did notice a SLIGHT, and I mean SLIGHT, loss of power bottom end. However, it seems like it makes up for it mid-range and top-end. I'll tell you its LOUD, but theres really not that much drone just cruising even with the radio off. I LOVE IT!
That looks exactly my truck's exhaust. The true dual setup is the way to go. My installer said an x pipe wouldn't gain me that much so I left it off too. It's not the loudest exhaust I've ever heard, but I will agree with you that its a head turner. I'm glad your happy with it, and good luck with the new truck.

Personally I wouldn't go straight out the back; around here (Michigan) that's how all the hillbillies do it. Not to mention that I think exhaust straight out the back is more for a car.
I'd get it just like it's done from the factory, but on both sides or doubled up on the passenger side... slight angle w/ stainless slash rolled tips.

Sorry... I didn't read the whole thread before I replied.
Anyways, glad you like it but it's not my cup of tea. Another reason I don't like the exhaust straight out the back is because it kills your departure angles when offroad. I know most of the 4X4's and lifted trucks on this site are pavement pounders, but if you're into offroading and going up hills then you're nice shiny tips are going to get flattened between the ground and the bumper.
For aesthetic reasons I like side exit.
For offroad function I like side exit.
For bouncing the exhaust off walls and the cars next to you to scare them side exit is also better.

Im glad you like side exit, but it looks HORRIBLE on a stock truck. Theres no way I would ever do that my truck. No offense to the people with this set-up but thats why its on your truck and not on mine, vice-versa. This truck isn't going to be pounded offroad like my last one so Im not going to worry about it.
SWEET...Mine are true duals out the back also with the flows..
..I heard that if you pull an open front horse trailer or livestock that it is Illlegal to have this setup...I can see how it would not be good for the horses..

I used the Flowmaster 40 series. I can't really help you with the price because my girlfriend's brother works at the place where I had it done so I got it for $300 OTD. Normally, they charge around $400 with stainless tips plus tax.
