I was just warning him that there are some lame cheap mods out there and dont go too overboard thats all. Some of you are going overboard with this and need to calm down.

True, but a man, young or old has to live and learn. I see crap people have done to their trucks, cars, or whatever that I don't personally agree with, but I just smile and go on my merry way. Some things just aren't worth the hassle.

I don't post a lot around here, more or less sit around, seeing what everyone else has done to their trucks, and look for new ideas. I think that because of one comment kickass made, that did not come out as he intended, for you guys to jump his case, is uncalled for. Read the 1,700 other posts, ppl make mistakes, and we move on, cut the guy some slack.... I botched my wording in a thread a while back about a little more controversial topic, and ended up upsetting some ppl, and if they have judged me off of that one post, the have greatly mistaken who I am. He was just trying to offer his opinion on being careful with the less expensive mods, as some of them might "SOUND" like a good idea, until you do it and its already too late to go back, at least, that was my take on it.

There are cheap modifications that look great and/or bad and some expensive that look great and/or bad. No because it is cheap it means you have to be carefull, I think you have to be carefull with the expensive ones because you are spending more!!!!

------------------------------------

I think the best/functional "cheap" modifications are:

Silver turn signal.
Short Antenna
Black Paint behind the back wheels
Windows down - one click

Some new ones from me:

Silver chrome air vents from fx4 (i have stx)
Alarm LED's in the headligts.
Fog ligths (PIAA) with headligths on at the same time.
Hood decals from ebay (really nice)

And a LADY OF GUADALUPE VIRGIN MARY RED SEAT COVER..44.99..(LOL)

Take it easy!!!!

And don't forget the white lettering/logo/picture for the rear window or across the top of the front windshield...

I'm with you, some of those mods looked like they should be on a kids powerwheel. I think the reason your comments came off as harsh was because so many people jumped on your case about posting your opinions and like anybody would have done you defended your thoughts. some of yall need to cut the guy some slack.

What a funny read!

While I do not care for the color red, I'd say that KiCk ***'s Truck looks like a Pro did all the work at least from the pics, I mean come on guys the dude went all out to even match the color on the seats and trim on the floor mats, Im sure the guy took his time and made it look good, cause he has to see it every time he drives his truck. I'd rather see Red than Green trim inside, I hate green but thats all I have on my truck. So it says Super Coupe at least its in good taste, and doesnt say VTEC powered w/ lots of stickers on the outside.

As far as Cheap/Free Mods go, knock yourself out. Free mods Port and polish your TB, port your heads, ditch your cats or drive straight pipes thru them at least here they dont drive your truck on rollers for smog just plug and play, run a pair of sims. Ford logo, Mud flaps, pivoting or adjustable blind spot mirrors, my favorite would be the exhaust cutout(jegs or summit racing) manual types are cheaper than the electric ones by about $150-200.

I have a 3rdG Camaro that I did all of the Cheap and Free Modifications too, Port and polish the entire thottle body, heads, camshaft swap, air intake change over, stingray cowl induction hood, headers, dumped the smog equiptment, modified the ECM program, dumped the Cat, non emission headers.

The best six cheap mods that I have done for my FX4 Screw for $50 or less has to be these six:

$49
EZ Down Tailgate Damper
Explanation: Not really much to say that hasn't already been said about this mod. Two thumbs up for this mod.

$50
Audio Dimming Compass/Temperature/Uv/Ice Alert Mirror
Explanation: Not only is this mirror mod is very functional and helpful, but it's also one attractive looking interior mod.

$27
Custom Intro-tech Windshield Sunshade
Explanation: I sometimes have to leave my truck parked at my school's parking lot for several hours while I'm attending classes, so this mod is helpful in keeping my truck a bit cooler on the inside but it also preserves the dash from receiving sun damage. This sunshade is custom fitted for the F150 unlike the "one size fits all" sunshades that are normally sold at most stores.

$14
Euro Shorty Antenna
Explanation: The Euro shorty antenna is a nicer looking antenna than the stock antenna and I also receive about the same quality reception as the stock antenna.

$30
Billet Cup Holder Rings
Explanation: The Billet cup holder rings help keep the drinks in place more securely in the cup holders and there also very stylish to boot.

$30
F150 Harley Davidson Pedals
Explanation: Very stylish pedals compared to the stock ones. The Harley Pedals also have a better feel to them than the stock pedals.
