Got the 37's
Take a look at this thread - https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=239320
You really pushing it trying to put 35" tires on stock rims, im sorry but there is no way 37s would fit either on the rim itself or on the truck unless youve got a 6" suspension with alot of trimming, a 6" suspension with a body lift, or MAYBE a 6" suspension with an added coil-spacer and add-a-leaf which isnt really a good idea becuase it only subtracts from the benefits of getting a full suspension lift - maintaing factory geometry.

Im going to stop giving people advice and ideas because people who haven't tried it shoot the idea down with no facts or first hand experience. I have PERSONALLY seen 35x12.50s on a 2004+ F-150 with just a Daystar spacer with SLIGHT rubbing at full lock. . So, with the spacer PLUS a 3" body there is no reason why they wouldn't fit. Logically.

evintrino - Who did you call for your estimate of $1450 on that lift?

Every 6" suspension kit Ive seen (fabtech, procomp, tuff country, rancho) was designed with a maximum of a 35" tire. Not to mention, there is not a body lift for a 4.6L new body style F150 available are far as I know.

Im done here though, this isn't benefiting me in anyway, but if you want to keep trying to argue the fact than thats fine.

well I have become okay with the fact that I am gonna need new rims. so that's that. btw kangit the lift was a local place in san antonio that I called, called outback offroad. I am pretty confident that I should be okay with just a 6" if not then I will go run and get myself a bl. I hope I don't chit my pants tryin to put that in if I need it...
EDIT: Anyone have any lift advice? BTW the price on the lift was out the door not installed.

Im going to have to agree with Thumper. 35s will fit with just a spacer so its not reason with a body lift added it should fit. Then throw on an add a leaf and you shoudl be fine. Heck I have a 6 inch lift witha spacer up front and I could easily clear 37s. With the spacer and 35s your wheel well would have alot of space plus it has alot to do with BACKSPACING.

And once again..... there is not a body lift for the 4.6L engine.

Clearing tires is more based on backspacing of the rims, The lift also plays in some. I have seen trucks with 35's on stock rims with a spacer that have minor rubbing, I also have seen 35's on aftermarket rims with a spacer that have alot of rubbing. I hyave the fabtech with 35's on rims with 4.25" backspacing and there is no rubbing at all and I am sure I could fit 37 12.50's with no rubbing, but I think 37 13.50 might cause alittle rubbing.
But I would not put a 13.50 tire on stock rims, You should be fine with a 6" lift and new rims, You always can get the cheap procomp rims that have 4.25" backspacing and bosome minor trimming and be just fine with your purcase.

A 6" suspension lift plus a spacer equals 8-8.5" of lift compared to 5-5.5" that would get out of a body lift and spacer. Thats a total difference of 3" between the two. If im wrong Im not afriad to admit it I have yet to see anyone even attempt this setup. Have you?

I have heard that body lifts tend to cause body roll. This is coming from non-f150 drivers can anyone vouch for this?
yeah i know what you mean it's cool. but you also realize that bl get a lot of chit because of some the previoud crude models...i.e. hockey pucks, pieces of wood. if i can avoid it i will though..
no offense, but just a word of recommendation.
any kind of project has to be planned out. before you purchase anything... figure out what your goal is... what do i really want to do with my truck? if you want to get the 37s.. that's cool. but then step back and say to yourself... OK, what do i need to do to reach this goal? which 37s do i want? what size rim do they require? what kind of rim do i like? what are the rims specs? will they fit my truck? will these rims and tires fit the existing truck or does it need to be be lifted? or leveled? how many inches? who makes quality lifts? which are better or worse? or level kits? which are better or worse? what do they cost? how much is installation? can i afford my goal? should i adjust my goal to meet my wallet?
i would recommend that anytime you want to do a project like this you take a step back and look at the big picture before buying anything. this relates to your truck or any other project you do...adding a bathroom in your basement...putting a heater in your garage..... anything.
when i asked "if the question you asked were real or if you were screwing with is", i wasn't trying to be mean.... and i hope i didn't offend you.
with many years of projects under my belt i just thought i would give you my view of things. i'm not rich, so i can't throw my money around. anything i buy, i have to make sure it is exactly what i want. i always say.... i spend my money the way i make my money...... slowly.
remember the 5 P's
prior planning prevents poor performance
anyways.... i'll get off my soap box. good luck with your project. bet it looks cool once its finished.
later - oaw
