Truck Rides Like Crap
Truck Rides Like Crap
My truck has recently started to ride like crap. Even with the stock tires and rims. I just put new rims and tires on and i was hoping it would improve with better tires but it still rides bad. Checked tire pressure, and tires are balanced. I only have 13000 miles on the truck. Could my shocks be bad already? 90% of my driving is on surface streets and when i go offroad i never beat on it. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

kinda get what your saying
it seems like mine recently started riding a little rougher i have an 06 with 10000 miles on it...i thought it was just me....i've been religious about tire rotations too...so i don't know..
It appears from other posts that you just put 20inch rims and lower profile tires on. Well they look great, but the tires are a significant part of the suspension system. The sidewall compliance absorbs part of the bumps that come along on the road, and you now have a lot less bump absorbing action. The shorter, stiffer sidewalls trade away smooth ride for more road feel and better transition control. Good for a sports car, not as good a tradeoff on a truck.
You still may have a shock or other suspension issue to look into, so you might as well keep digging.
