Truck Rides Like Crap

My truck has recently started to ride like crap. Even with the stock tires and rims. I just put new rims and tires on and i was hoping it would improve with better tires but it still rides bad. Checked tire pressure, and tires are balanced. I only have 13000 miles on the truck. Could my shocks be bad already? 90% of my driving is on surface streets and when i go offroad i never beat on it. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Define exactly how "crap" feels like. Does it shake the steering wheel? Does it sway all over the road? Does it feel like it's going to jar your teeth out over every bump? Does it keep bobing up & down after a bump? Does it leave a stinky brown trail behind it where ever you go??

sounds like you are concerned with the suspension. 13K miles is pretty low. Id bring it in for warranty

Sometimes it keeps bouncing after a bump. I can feel every little bump in the rode where it rode awsome until about 2 weeks ago.

Take it in and have them check your shocks. It should be easy to diagnose if that's the problem....

It appears from other posts that you just put 20inch rims and lower profile tires on. Well they look great, but the tires are a significant part of the suspension system. The sidewall compliance absorbs part of the bumps that come along on the road, and you now have a lot less bump absorbing action. The shorter, stiffer sidewalls trade away smooth ride for more road feel and better transition control. Good for a sports car, not as good a tradeoff on a truck.

You still may have a shock or other suspension issue to look into, so you might as well keep digging.

There doenst seem to be any difference between the new tires and the stock tires so i will probably have my suspension looked at asap.

Do you feel or hear any clunking? My truck started to ride like absolute crap and it ended up being the tie rods. If thats not it, get your shocks replaced.
