Question for edge users

I saw in other posts that the edge displays average miles per gallon and instant miles per gallon. I checked on the edge website and there was no indication of this. I was just wondering if it did because my 04 extended cab xlt does not provide me with this and i am tired of calculating it every fill up.

Yes it will display both. Its a bit expensive imo if thats all you want it for though. But you should be very pleased with all it has to offer.

The instant MPG in very helpful for me, that what I really like to see when changing programs to see how and what effects fuel mileage. I have heard some less then impressive results from the average MPG feature, as its very touchy and needs to be reset frequently to be accurate because of idling and such.

If all you want is the MPG displays, etc., check out Scanguage.com.

It has a whole lot of information and @ 1/3 the price! I have one, very useful. BTW, don't forget to paint it if you do buy one.

I don't pay attention to the instant MPG, too depressing! I also figure mileage manually, takes all of 30 seconds.

I just got my edge and there is something very wrong with the Average MPG feature.

I was about to post and see if there was an update that would fix it?

I towed my boat about 100 miles round trip and the AMPG said 27 when i got back...

I wish.

The instant MPG seems to work though.

Make sure your tire size and gearing are correct!

Mine always shows 1-1.5 mpg better than what I am actually getting, makes me feel good untill I fill it up and actually do the calculation. I have seen no increase in mpg running level 3 with 93 octane.
