Exclamation Newbie here!!!

Hey guys (and some girls I'm sure)
My name is Kristen, and I just recently found you a day or two ago.
Nice to meet you all!

Anywho.. wanted to introduce myself.
I bought an '05 F150 FX4 4x4 Last September, after trading in my 2003 manual Mustang GT (only if I would have known abt gas prices.. lol), either way.. I didn't drive that too nice, so gas mileage probaby not that far off between the two

Like I said, I just found this site, and so far has been very helpful. Now if only I had found it before I boughy my Hypertech programmer!

You have all been very helpful so far about Intake, and I purchased my Volant CAI today!!!

Still deciding on Exhaust.. HARD DECISION, but I don't want to get yelled at for asking the same question everyone else does.. so I'm going to search the forums first.. deciding between Magnaflow and Flowmaster..

I've taken up enough of your time.. I'll post pics soon..
Have a good rest of your day
~k~

Hi and welcome. You can try to completely uninstall the hypertech and sell it on ebay. You run the risk of the person buying it not having the same Hex code and not being able to use it though so you might have to refund their money or whatever. As you already know, I couldn't swap vehicles with mine.
Anyway, I really like my Gibson exhaust but if I had to choose between Flowmaster and Magnaflow, I'd go with the maggie. The guys around here have lots of good things to say about them.

and welcome!

On the exhaust, if it's between the Magnaflow and Flowmaster, I'd go with the maggie.

Beautiful name Kristen (my GF wanted to add that )

Welcome to the site.....tons of information as you already know. This site alone saved me over $400.00 worth of repairs and spent a little over $1,500.00 on mods on two different F-150s.

You gotta check out the XCal II for a programmer and look into the Air Force 1 for the CAI! The absolute best IMO. Check out the Chips & Programmers threads.

Either way, whatever works for you and your smile is the main thing.

I used to work at a Graphics shop here in Illinois, and we got awesome discounts from places we worked with.. Long story short, my old boss called me and said they were all ordering these HID's for 250.00, and asked if I wanted in.. they normally run 800.00.. so I was ALL over it!! I didn't ask from where or how.. just handed over the money. Installs like a bulb, has a modulator for each bulb that powers it that you have to hide under the hood somewhere. I will look at the box when I get home to get a brand name for ya!
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.. with a deal like that.. sometimes I just don't ask! lol

Thanks.. tell her she's got a great name too :-)

I actually heard about the same good opinions for both the AF1 and the Volant, and after listening to one of my buddies trucks, decided on the volant. I guess a little partial, but hopefully mine will be the same (going to be solo tilll I decide on exhaust)

About the X cal II .. Is that something that voids warranty? Something that is a pain to take off, or uninstall if I have to take the truck in for work? I know a decent amount about my stuff for a girl.. but dont' know how to fix a lot on my own.. so that is a main concern for me. I need to be able to take it to the dealer still without voiding warranty! Will the X cal be better, or Edge? Or will both void the warranty??

The Edge and Xcal2 could both void your warranty if it directly effected something that went wrong. However, it'd be in your best interest to remove the tuner before going into the dealer for service work a few days prior so the computer has time to reset itself.

Just watch out, these guys are going to start asking for pictures.

I found out they are Kiaxen HIDs.. you can find them at Kiaxenkits.com.. however, I"m sure you won't find them for as cheep as I got them.. maybe they fell off a truck.. not sure.. hehe

The site is running prices today when I checked for about $330-430
