I need to be able to take it to the dealer still without voiding warranty! Will the X cal be better, or Edge? Or will both void the warranty??
If you have a dealer you use check with the service dept. if you have someone you can talk to about it. The dealer is the one that will void it if there is a problem.

Nice truck, I reall like that FX4 logo, which I would have bought the FX4. Oh well, so if you are going offroad, check my gallery to know what not to do in the mud

https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=7504

check the oops in the mud, you will like that.

I have several mods and one of them is the XCal2. Not everyone is happy about their XCal2 purchase, I'm one of those guys. It's a good mod but is well overrated. I wish I would have went with the edge after seeing the 0-60 times vs the XCal2's 0-60 (some users have both and compare), especially considering the major price difference.

What are you looking for in exhaust? I have the loudest flowmasters available (it's not street legal here), the Flowmaster Single Chamber and I have removed my rear cats. If you are looking for loud and more performance, remove your rear cats. You probably won't be able to smog it if you do so but the sound and performance are worth it. I had the magnaflow 18" SIDO and swapped it looking for something louder, I expected some loss but not quite as much as I had. Here is a video clip of a recent custom bed light mod I did, you can hear the exhaust in it. You're going to lose a lot of low end but I'm still smoking quick with these mods, even with a 6" lift (I'm still on stock tires, the correct wheels haven't shown up yet...they are weeks overdue).

I bought my truck from Indiana, the northern side, near chicago in La Porte, I drove it back home accross country but flew there to pick it up. What a journey!

Josiah wow! For exhaust I was looking for something not too loud, but good performance gains. Don't get me wrong, I want to hear the rumble like I did in my old car, but don't want a raspy sound. I will check out your video clip!

Without removing those rear cats your 4.6 will sound much louder than your 5.4 even with slowmasters. Hopefully you have 4 cats (some F-150's have 2 large cats instead of 4 small), otherwise you won't be able to do anything about it. Magnaflows are going to be your best bet when it comes to performance, I miss it for that reason but still, I'm no slouch. Let me know what you think of my exhaust, I've been through so many exhaust modifications I'm finally happy with the sound. However I might go back to the maggie if Eric lets me buy it back from him

Heyyyy Errrriicccc...

Welcome.

First off, nice truck!

You're going to love the Volant. I have one on my 06 and it really woke up the truck. Throttle response is even better.
I'm going to stand beside Balog's exhaust choice. I have one too. Its great.

You're entitled to your opinion.... in my opinion, however, it's underpriced. I love what it did for my truck.

You need divx to view it. Click here to hear exhaust. Does anyone else have trouble viewing it?
