Whiplash 12" lift

I saw that whiplash makes a 12" lift for the f150, in order to run 49" tires is there any other modifications needed? The truck will be for show and will never see any mud?

If anyone knows of any other suspension company making a larger lift kit please let me know....

49"... thats not a typo?

Yes. There will need to be other modifications. Dunno what exactly, but 49" is huge.

I'd say at least a 3" body lift and certainly a call to "High Angle Driveline"

They make driveshafts and drive train parts for high lift vehicles.

Hey man, the whiplash is a 14 inch lift, u will also need a 3 inch body and the driveshaft re balanced. With 17 inches of lift u can fir 49's, here is a pic of an f150 with the whiplash, 3 inch body, 20 inch wheels and of course the 49 inch iroks : http://www.wholesalesuspensionoutlet...ruck04F150.jpg

Probably depends on where you live, and if the cops would actually enforce it.

Whiplash has a pretty bad reputation. I don't think I would use one of their lifts.

My buddy had one of these lifts on a 99 and it was a POS. We were always fixing something.....IFS was not designed for tires that large... 40's i can see, but 49's put insane stresses on everything. The only way to do it right is go strait axle if you want 49's. IF not get a 3' body and a CST 8 inch with 40's, its the cats meow as far as big IFS lifts go for our trucks!!

If you want to wheel at all, then you are going to need to throw in tons of cash. Like new drive shafts, upgraded diffs, brake lines(unless its in the kit), regear, and thats up in the 2000-3000 range.

If you are going to stay on the street 100 percent of the time, then you will need drive shafts, brake lines, and you could regear if you werent happy with the performance. Your braking is going to suck no matter what you do.

Whiplash flat out sucks. If you're set on running 49s, you're going to want to straight-axle it and its all going to have to be custom.

I think it was up until last yr or so, but these tires meet whatever specs are required from what I've heard

those 49s are stuffed on the poor '04 anyways....get a Kelderman Air Ride 15" 4 link setup, fab some extended mounting towers/ brackets, get a straight axle, throw on a body lift, and those babies will clear with ease...this is what i wanna do one day down the road when my truck is no longer for everyday use...my buddy did it on his '03 SuperDuty...it was a ridiculous setup
