2004 Cab Leaking!!!

i just noticed the other topics on this subject from a few years back. my 2004 $30,000.00 plus f-150 with 7,000 miles on it is leaking bad. i noticed water on the rug a few times after putting groceries in the back seat. i thought i had spilled some water. well just yesterday i noticed my seats have stains all over them and they are water-logged. also before this problem i noticed water/condinsation builing up inside my windshield. i have water on my ashtray, rugs ,seats....!! i called the dealer and he said it's not covered under my warranty. i paid for the best extended coverage. he said leaks/seals are only good for 12 months. so he suggested they shampoo the seats and give it back to me. the problem is the brake light assembly. how is shampoo going to solve my problem. no offer of a loaner. i basically work out of my truck. time is money!

i'm taking in today and trying to trade it straight accross with no gimmics or money. i might as well by some koi to go in my truck. i'm leaving the dealer with a different truck or i will camp out there. with as much water as i found my truck will have future problems. i'll keep you posted.

it is a very known and common occurance! the third brake light just needs replaced.. it's not expensive.. I'm sure you have some sort of deduct for your extended warranty most do. the brake lamp assembly is very cheap. get them to sell it to you at wholesale and install it yourself. it takes literally 10 minutes. may get out of it actually cheaper than your deduct. just food for thought..

Just had mine replaced on my 05 yesterday. Called the dealership and they got me in the next morning. Usually a 2 week wait. You might as well schedule your ash tray replacement at the same time.

well i just got back from the dealer. he said it's under warranty and that the dealer and service dept never heard of this problem before. i said b.s. it's a deffective third brake light and it should be covered. i tried to trade it for another vehicle but he said they would credit $20,000.00 towards a new/used truck. the service dept said it's covered with no loaner and they will go by fords policy as far as what to fix. i said i wanted new carpet, seats 3rd barke assm, and all the electrical checked out. he said we do what were told by ford. since i hardly ever drive it i just noticed this problem but it has been soaked for two winters now. it needs new interior.

good news was my other 2004 expedition is getting the moulding fixed for free. 2004's had defective side moulding which faded fast. they are covered if your milage is 36,000 or under.

If it's been wet for 2 years or so since u got it, I'd at least look under the carpet for any black mold that can be deadly if bad enough. If you don't find any mold, check for rust, if it's rusting under the carpet, have Ford take care of that for you.

I just washed the inside of my truck and noticed I still have water damage. I think there is a leak which allows water to seep into the cab, I hear water moving around in my doors or something every time I accelerate or brake when its raining and then I have a puddle in my drivers side floorboard. Any ideas?

have u ever got ur sun roof checked out before by Ford? Sometimes the drain holes get clogged up with crap and cause water to somehow drain down your driverside A- Piller onto the ground. Water can't be inside your doors though, theres big drain holes in those doors which could never hold water, so I can't think of where water could be sitting to hear it moving around?

I have no idea where the water is coming from then. I have a sunroof, that might be causing it but somehow it has to get under the floorboards, not sure how it's even possible. I seem to be the only person with this problem, I've searched and searched to no availability. I am trying to waterproof my cab as much as possible and this is making that a larger task than it should. I first want to waterproof the lower doors but I'm going to have to get creative.
