Those tubes are pretty bright, I'm pleased with what I've done so far. I'm about 75% complete with my setup in the bed. I'm going to drill a hole into the plastic bedrails and locate the rocker switch on a top, or possibly pointed inwards (might get damaged when things are in the bed with option #2). Anyways, the tubes are good quality and do not flex/bend at all, they're not fragile and much brighter than the LED's I bought (superbrightleds.com or something similar) for about $20/piece. Oznium packages everything GREAT and when they charge you for 1 light, you get two 12" bulbs. Of course I'll have pics for you guys, just wait till tomorrow night so I can get some night shots (it's almost 1am).

Alrighty....well
i got all 4 cathodes mounted yesterday and im not very pleased. They are not very bright at all. One light is very bright, like they should be but the other 3 are very dim. Almost like they are just cheap lights. I dunno
Would it be worth it to buy some better leds?

Are you positive they're wired right? Whats the smallest gauge wire you used in the setup? Did you get them from Oznium? Here is my result, they came packaged very well and the lights are pretty good at night, wish they were slightly brighter but I can compensate with more tubes/LED's.

Josiah...
I used 18 gauge through out...i have 4 12inch cathodes hooked up to the 2 transfromers with one switch. I have gone over everything and cant seem to get them any better. Here are some pics...i mounted them vertically but could possibly change them. how would u do it?

Try using a larger gauge wire and if that does not work then you have bad tubes. Mine are all the same. I had one light not function as bright as the other when I was testing them out because I only held the wires on the battery with my fingers, it was not a strong connection. Definitely get a larger gauge wire and it may solve your issues.

I'll try some larger wire when i get some time...it was weird, the lights were like this and then i washed the truck. Turned the lights on in the dark and boom, the middle light was as bright as ever and then it slowly dimmed and almost wanted to simmer out??

I'm almost positive thats due to a loose wire or too small gauge of wire. Definitely check your connections.

Dumb question but did you wire them in series or parallel?

Obviously not enough power is getting to them so this could be whats wrong, definitely check that. If you went with ozniums (you never specified) then you probably did them properly, because you'd have to splice into the transformers wires to run them parrallel.
