Carbon Fiber Dash Kits?

Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone has done a carbon fiber dash kit...

I'm trying to think up ways to spruce up the inside of the truck and thought it might be the way to go.

Here is a kit being offered on eBay:

Carbon Fiber Dash Kit

No pics of it actually installed, but, it sounds good. A little on the pricey side, though...

Any thoughts?

Not my bag, but everyone has different tastes. I've just seen too many CF overlays and it's a bit worn out to me. Here's a tiny pic from the center of the dash. If you like go for it.

Thanks for posting that!

Hmmm...

Yeah, I see how it can be a little "over-bearing"...

I wonder how the satin and brushed aluminum kits look as an alternative...

Hmmmm that CF kit has a silver look to it. I think its a bit much around the vents. I would like to see that just in the center section. They sell black CFish ones at www.woodcorp.com
Its Woodview and I guess are pretty good quality and they do have different finishes.
I saved a couple pics of a guy who replaced his center section with the blk CF and I like it. I think it matches with the rest of my FX4 interior.
If you want drop me a email and i will send you the couple pics of have of it.

Yeah if your going to use it just cover your existing wood or whatever trim and maybe some molded covers on the window/door lock switches.
Its to easy to over do it and cover the whole interior and then nasty overkill.

If you want to look for different options to dress up your dash check out Phoenix Image. Costs a bit more, but its an OEM finish.

Or you could wait for just a little bit longer when I unveil my interior trim project. Hopefully I get some time this weekend - work is slamming me and not leaving me any free time. But it will be a very cheap mod = a huge change!! Stay tuned (no hints).

Sounds like you need to find someone that does fiberglass work. You will need to give them your dash so they can chop it up a bit. But it sounds like a cool idea.

I used the carbon fiber tape from Pep Boys. I didnt like the way the wood looked in my interior. It actually looks good.
