YAY!! Everything's finally fixed.
Now just get those wheels and try not to break anything else for a while.

Ya we originally started out with a stock block, but then I decided the 5500 redline wasn't good enough, then this crazy idea of taking an alumminum block cobra dohc setup!! So right now just got done changing over the headers and such and I am in the process of creating as far as I know, 1 of a kind, 2000 TT S281, to a dohc cobra motor. By the way all the stuff in the sig, is what it is, just so I don't have to type it all out.

It's taking awhile, (college student) but we'll get er done, now that I think of it I'm sure someone with money such as these "shop lifted truck guys" has already completed what I'm trying to do, but rest assured I thought of it first When it's done Ill post vids, or send em to ya if your interested.

Well I can tell the problems will never end, maybe it's more of an annoyance but I get a strong clank, sounds like it's coming from the tie rod and happens when making turns, oftentimes when it's at full crank (steering wheel) and then it goes away after the first clank, sounds like the tie rod is clanking against something, or binds up and gets unbinded. I am just worried it might be an issue while wheeling (you can't exactly ride home with a busted tie rod). If this is something to be concerned about and sounds like an issue one of you has heard of, let me know. I'm going to take a look in the morning when the rain subsides. It might be normal but it happens everytime I drive it, at least once. Nice to be pretty much finished with the install though, can't wait to find out if the wheels are in tomorrow. I'll keep you guys updated and pictures will come as always with me.

It's really hard to diagnose sounds over a forum, but I've had lifted trucks and even stock trucks with new coil springs that the coils would kind of "pop" now and then. I beleive Sal said his truck still does this sometimes.

I'll have to get video/audio of this, it's an annoyance and is quite embarrassing, sounds cheap and as if something is about to break.

Is it possible that your springs and stuff could be settling and working in? Like baja150 said, new springs will usually make that noise from time to time. I lifted mt 1998 F150 and quite frequently I would get a noise something like that from the front end. Sounded like something was about to snap. I went away after a few thousand miles. I figured it was the springs and stuff settling into place.

Very possible, I'll quit griping and let it play out. Today's the [supposed] day

Josh,

I think you'll be rubbing for sure without a body lift. Here is a pic I found of your rims on a 6 inch fabtech lift. They both could only fit 35s with the 20 hulks.

Duke

I like this one:

I hate to say it, but I kind of like these 35s.

My truck does the exact same thing with my 6" Fabtech lift. Now it didnt always do this. My truck never made this sound untell after one of my my desert trips where i abused my truck haha..

Anyways now whenever i turn the wheels right before it hit fully cranked it makes a binding pop noise. However i havent been able to figure it out yet

They're coming, turns out Friday will be the earliest I get the wheels, how wonderful. These stock tires and wheels are growing on me, I think I might have to turn those mazzi's and grapps down.

Glad I'm not alone bushtree, too bad that means you have to suffer too
