That was my hunch all along... I've said it once--I'll say it again, the thing I miss most about my 2001 King Ranch are my Xenarcs... If you ever get bored and need a project, let me know.

After I exhaust this LED taillight search then possibly I could have time to build some HID headlights for you at a small labor charge. But overall with OEM parts it'd end up being more expensive then what you paid for your Xenarcs.

Best option I see on the horizon is getting ahold of the new F150 HID reflector headlights that are being used in the Saleen F150. They'd be the same price as doing an HID retrofit. The only difference is the retrofit would give better light output. But then again *anything* is better then stock.

i think with the 06 lights, you're better off splicing in a projector into the back.

Were you really that unhappy with the stock headlights? I couldn't be any happier with mine. My square fogs plus headlights light up the road not only straight off to eash side, but even back a few degrees. As for up the road, they are amazing. Ever since I levelled out the truck the light angle and maximum coverage has been GREAT.

I compared it to my friends 2003 BMW 530i HIDs and I honestly feel that my headlights 100% stock (even bulbs) light the road up better than his BMW HIDs. They go farther, are brighter, and even a bit wider.

Granted, some people prefer the blueish white of the HIDS, but I actually like the slight yellow hue of the stock bulbs. I do think HIDs look fantastic though.

Gosh no, the OEM halogen F150 headlight and foglight combination is some of the best halogen output I've ever seen. It's extremely good. But I was just saying that any HID is better for obvious reasons. But for the OEM headlights they are good, I just like the HID a lot better.
