I like the Line-X bottom look but if you don't want to go that route, maybe just paint the bottom black.

How much do you think a body shop would charge to paint over the two tone on the newer F150's?

Hey be careful what you say about old Grandpa trucks! I like my two tone and plan to add some stock wheel lip mouldings (fender flares) to match when I can find some.

There are some of the spray in liners that fade and other seem not to. If you are wanting to have that look I'd look for one that seems not to fade over time. I think there is nothing as ugly as the faded plastic that they put on some vehicles.

As stated in the post your best route looks to be re-paint it another color.

Two tone F-150's look the best! I have the best color of them all: aspen green with arizona beige lower. Looks awesome!
