how much did you pay? the dude at the stereo shop said something about an expensive one that i "shouldnt need". mine was like $15.

the converter is wired into one of the speaker feeds, and has rca outputs for the amp

I am using a PAC PSNI35 2 Channel Adjustable Line Output Converter... Dont remember what I paid for it... There are better ones out ther, but I didnt want to spend that much on it because have plans to install an eclipse AVN5495...

In line convertor's work excellent. You just have to have your installer tweak it out. I had one on my 99 Escort ZX2 and never had any issues with it.
