Tiny Little Dent
Ok, you body work guru's out there. Yesterday it was really windy here in NJ. I pulled into the parking lot at work yesterday, and then someone pulled up next to me. When they opened their door...I'm sure you can see where this is going now...the wind caught their door and naturally it hit the side of my truck.
It left a scratch and a little dimple dent. The scratch I can handle. The dent I cannot. Now it is on a part of the door that is not covered on the inside by the door panel. So I can get behind the dented area. There is a hinge hampering straight-on access, but I can still reach it.
I think I can push the dent out as long as I can get something in there. What kind of tool/aperatus do you recommend I use so I don't screw up the door even worse, and so I can get some leverage on the end I'm pushing from? In other words, I can't push the dent with the back end of a screwdriver, because I'll stab my hand with the other end.
Something with a really hard rubber would be ideal. But I can't think of anything like that that's small enough for me to get in there.

I think you would be better off paying a professional dent remover to get it out. It should cost about $45. Monkey around with it not knowing what your doing and you are VERY likely to make it worse.
BTW why didn't you have the person that hit you with their door repair it?

The person did offer to pay for it. But she was really hot! I said I'd let her know after I decided what to do about it. Because as Chris Rock said, "Ya never know."

My tailgate was bashed in only weeks after I got my truck. Had it fixed to the tune of $680 bucks and two months later, it got scratched, not real bad but when you know where it’s at you can’t help looking at it every time you pass by the tailgate. Then July of last year I was backed into in a parking lot and it left a baseball size dent smack dab in the corner of the bed just above the bumper. I haven’t had it fixed yet and probably won’t hoping Murphy’s Law will protect me from further damage
I would buff it out the best you can and then leave it alone

Good luck getting it fixed.
