Am I the only one? Rear Seat Storage

Am I the only one or does anyone else wish that the rear seats folded down for storage against the back cab? Just a thought

It would be nice if they could do both. Bottom fold up and the top fold down.

I would rather the seat backs folded down instead of the bottoms folding up. They both have their advantages though.

I wish they folded down too! What a waste of space.

Being a dog owner, I love the fold up feature. Would be nice to have the seat backs fold down, but I wouldn't trade the current capability for it.

I was bummed when they went to the new rear seat set-up. My previous truck (97) had the fold down, they were great. I , too have a dog. The current set up doesn't provide enough flat space like the previous one did. So I built a deck that replaces the bench of the seat. After modifing the horizontal bar that holds the seat back and removing the child restraint brackets and the middle lap belt, I reinstalled it before the rear bench (or the deck) goes in (from the factory the restraint bar is on top of the seat brackets). Now it's just 4 bolts to swap the bench with the deck or vice versa. Theres also a fair amount of storage under the deck for fishing rods and shotguns.

When I removed my rear seat back I zip-tied those ***** to their brackets so they don't show anymore. I thought about cutting them off but figured I'd probably have a car seat back there one of these days.
