My *new* exhaust is done

This morning I got my new exhaust done..

I did have a SI/SO flowmaster 40 series on my truck. I didnt notice any gains or losses with the 40 series.. I had it welded in in place of the factory muffler.

Today, I had a DI/DO magnaflow welded in and removed the rear cats..

It IS WAY louder than the Flowmaster.. Even though I fell in love with the sound of my SI/SO Flowmaster, Im liking my new exhaust.

Performance gains: None, really. It feels like I *May* have gained some in the upper RPM, but its not real noiticable. ONly reason I say that is because when I punch it from a stop, it chirps 2nd gear HARDER than before..
Use to it would chirp kinda to hard...... Everytime I stomped it today, it chirped 2nd gear HARD. With 31" tires

My exhaust looks exactly like FATHERFORD's, except I cut it out the side Lightning Style with 2-3.5" SS tips.

Recomenations: I would recommend the SI/SO flowmaster to anyone that wants an aftermarket exhaust. The Magnaflow set-up I have I would not recommend to anyone that doesnt like exhaust sounds..

Positive note about Magnaflow... It is louder than Magnaflow in every gear at every speed EXCEPT over drive.. IN over dirve (4th gear) Its hardly noticable.. where the Flowmaster would kinda drone..

Any pictures of the new setup? How much did they charge you for that?

is SI/SO generally louder or is DI/DO? Or SI/DO? I think it might be hard to compare your magnaflow to your flowmaster because they are different setups. But it sounds good. Where are the pics tho??

You have a regular cab and hardly felt any gains removing the 2 rear cats?

I actually never looked at the pics yet.. It looks like there is a white residue on the pipes... Hmm.. I guess the flash made em look that way.

The tips are lightning style.

No Josiah, I didnt *Really* feel a difference. I do think there is more power in the Upper RPM range, but not much...

The 31" tires do chirp pretty hard now.. a slight bit harder than before...

It was worth the cost.. to weld in the muffler, pipes and cut off the rear cats for $50... not bad...

Muffler was $60 and tips were... $20 I think...

I didnt use the "X-Pipe" because I dont really feel like I need it.
