Speed Volume

Speed Volume

i had the dumb speed volume on my factory stereo and when i took out the deck and installed a poineer head unit the darn thing keeps raising the volume and lowering it...I hate it. What should I do?

have you checked your new head unit? if they reconnected the speed/volume cord, and your head unit supports it, you should be able to control the levels that it works at, or even turn it off-

yeah you can turn it off on pioneer, well at least on mine I can..

which wire is it...i have the plug and play harness on it...from factory harness to back of my head unit...direct plugs..i have tried to turn it off...i have even installed the factory unit and turned it off andinstalled the poineer and it still works...i hate that sh*t

On mine you don't have to screw with wires you just have to go through the settings..

It has nothing to do with the wiring.

Read the manual, and find out how to disable that feature.

It can't be that hard to figure out. If you just randomly start pushing buttons, you should get to that setting in a few minutes.

I tried the speed volume once. It pissed me off just as much as the pause and noise between tracks with the stock 6 disk changer.
