30,000 miles in 5 months

Realized as I turned over 30,000 miles last Monday that I have only had the truck for 5 months (bought it 9/19/05). Overall, it's been a great vehicle for all the hours I spend on the road. Only problem I've had (besides wishing it got 45 MPG) was a stuck fuel injector, which also happened this week at 30,300 miles. Dealer got it in and out the next morning.

Took this pic on Thursday, just as the odometer hit 31,000!

Thats kind of what I've done . I just bought a motorcycle so I am gonna probably park my truck in the parking garage or any other place that I deem safe. I am thinking about welding some rails of some sort to frame that are kind of like arms to protect against door dings. Then a truck cover too.

WOW ... that's a lot of driving for sure ... I had a Jeep that took me 5 years
to put 30k on. I've had my truck for almost 2 years now and I'm at 13,805.

No doubt, I wouldn't be able to eat. Have my truck 10 months and I just hit 8,000. I only live about 3 miles from work.
I had the stuck injector at 3400 miles.

Here's a pic of my office:

All of those miles are in Nebraska, So. Dakota, Iowa, and Missouri...my territory for my job. Slowed down a little because i've had to fly out of territory three out of the last six weeks to train some new guys, but I'll be back to my average 1,800 miles per week for the next couple months so I'll probably be out of warranty by Easter...

I put right at 30K on my company truck between August and December -- I feel your pain.

Like you though, it was nearly trouble-free. I did install a battery (because the stock one pooped-out) out of the company's pocket (no Ford stealerships handy for a warranty issue like this -- not in Viburnum). Other than that little detail... flawless.

Enjoy your next 30k!

I bought my 04 in Nov with 25k on it and it is now at 45k. Sucks I hate looking at my odometer. I own a small construction biz and do a lot of driving and working in my truck. Well I guess thats why I bought the truck, but I really hate to see those miles rack up so fast.
