You will get different opinions for both. Some like the poly because they say they minimize any chance of clunking. Some like the metal because they believe the poly will wear out quicker.

Have you considered the Autosprings? They make for a simpler install. I just had them installed on mine two weeks ago. I am very pleased with them.

I went with the autospring because of the easy install but If you want the other style like the ones in the link above you should go with the daystar. A lot of people have them and like them and I've never heard of those in the link before. The autospring is awesome

I originally had the Daystar 2-1/2" kit when I didn't have my lift, no complaints. Now, Im running the 1-1/2" Autospring kit and I don't have any complaints. So, basically I'd suggest either getting the Daystar or the Autospring. Either way, you'll be happy!

I'm not afraid of springs (I've lowered 10 S-10s and an '02 Silverado), so given that, what's the best option? I really want to to do this soon. Also, any thoughts on reaiming the headlights afterwards?

Why did you make the switch from Daystar to Autospring?

Thanks,

I have the Daystar's and im very pleased with them. Had them over a year with no issues. Daystar & Autospring seem to be the two most popular spacers from members on this site, and both get good reviews.
