It's very impressive what us Ford guys will do to have exactly what we want.

No confusion here.

Correct, that is what I said you move Pin #3.

Still no confusion, with my way I use an existing factory wire and move it 6" from one Instrument cluster connector to another WITHOUT having to run a new wire. Ironically it is the same exact color (VT) and wire as original on the Manual and Auto systems. I much prefer to use as many of the orignal wires as possible and not run any additional wires. With my layout the only additional wires I have to run are 3 for the Drivers Side heated seat controls (I am using the 3 leftover from the Fan Resistor Pack to get the wires for the passenger seat heater controls down to the passenger feet area), and if I look a little farther I may find a way to do that without any new "non original" wiring, as a matter of fact I can probably use the wires for the reverse sensor switch harness and at least get me down the parking brake pedal area without adding any extra non original wiring at all in the dashboard area.
Hello,
Are you able to receive emails? I just sent you one and wondering if you can receive..

You guys rock. I just replaced my 02 FX4 with an 04 FX4, and I want to do this mod, along with factory heated seats.

Any chance you could post a list of the exact parts needed, whether they are easy to find in a junkyard or should be bought new, and part numbers if you have them?

Thanks so much!!

EDIT: Looks like I came across most of what I was looking for here:

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the electronic climate control? I'm looking to see whether it's a ground or 12v pulse that engages the defrost mode. Second, I'm looking for what color wire the defrost mode is. I'm going to wire my remote start to engage this for those cold mornings. I currently have it hooked up to my mirror defrost.

I love resurrecting old threads!

I just snagged an auto climate control on ebay for a great price. I only bid on it thinking - I wont ever win at this price, and I did.

So - it's time to dig through the archives and see what I need to do as far as pin swaps and wiring. Are the diagrams still floating around?

TIA!

did you follow the wiring instructions on the first page?

The color of the wire is VT (violet).

Cool, I understand the pin changes needed on the wiring harness but what else do I need to do to get this to work?
