No problem. All of the mods that i have done to my truck, have been from the site. I have learned alot of valuable information here and have made some new friends. Just thought i would share the knowledge and the deals. That's all...

It's just that the manner in which you posted and the tone of your posts really didn't reflect a 'satisfied customer' tone; they reflected a 'lets pump some business towards a non-SV who has had some serious setbacks at f150online.com' tone.

Like I said, if it was incorrectly identified, I'm sorry...

Now back to your regularly scheduled VOLANT thread... I have to admit, it looks like you got a nice deal on a respected intake.
Wow, thats super cool that you would says sorry RP. I can respect a person that can admit when they are wrong (NOT SAYING THAT YOU ARE) just giving a person the benifit of the doubt. Pretty cool that a man with your power on this forum, does not take the "im right your wrong" threat closed stand. Good job "RP" and I can see your point of view Keep up the good work.

I hope i get a little bit more mpg's with the Volant. I'm starting to settle down on the foot pedal now after getting the tuner.

How much of a dog is your truck with the lift and tires on? Do you have a tuner? Did the Volant make a noticable difference?

exactly.

When I know of a deal that will save someone else money and have personally met the seller. Well, If I was a buyer browsing for the best deal. I would want someone like myself to stand up and direct them in a way that is helping.

I like this site. Have learned alot from many of the members. So if the only way I can help in return is speak out about the best deals well then I'll do my part to the best of my ability. No matter where that place may be. If doing that has become a problem on a public forum that is made to help f150 owners well I think that there is a little too much politics going on.

Just a little p.s. I hope i'm not stepping on toes. However I have posted several threads asking questions. I haven't seen one sponsored vendor here help me out with any question. But if someone can take time to help me out in the direction I need to go and then offer that product to me at a better deal than the guys who are making millions sitting back and getting richer and richer and doing nothing for service. Well it's an easy decision on my part

Thanks. I'm not sure I could've said what you said any better. It's become a bit more evident to me that I jumped the gun a little bit with my post. Last night was a bit tense and, due to things that are going on in my 'real' life, I've been a little edgy lately. While that's no excuse for loosing a level of composure, there is quite a bit of validity to it all.

What you've said really was dead on and I agree with you... I apologize to you and to FX4ME. Further, I apologize to the members who read through my little rant and saw me show some colors that I really don't like to reveal.

The politics that come along with a moderator position are difficult to explain sometimes. What's right one day is wrong the next in certain perspectives and, to appease the masses, you walk a razor to attempt to see it through. Sometimes you slip and the razor hits you in the crotch. I'm not looking for sympathy here -- that's just the way it is. I've slipped on more than one occasion and, due to the nature of this position, I'm sure I'll slip again. I don't like playing the 'a-hole' moderator -- I'm much more comfortable playing the 'move a thread' moderator -- and couple that with being a senior member on the boards.

So, with that in mind, I'll stop my ramble... carry on fellas. I think we all know we have something pretty special here at f150online.com and, even more special in the 04+ forum. We have some bad apples but, as a rule, this is a pretty good place and I think nearly everyone would agree with that...

I ordered my volant from the same place FX4ME2 did about a week back. I got an e-mail today saying that my intake was shipped. I can't wait to see how it looks installed and what kind of gains I'll see with it. Now I just have to decide what type of exhaust I want to go with.

Please be sure to let us know how that intake works for you.. Im still waiting for mine to make its way to me. Looks like we both have pretty much the same setup, Edge, Volant. All you need now is a Magnaflow catback like I have

Haha, that is the setup I have in mind for my own truck ironically. I would rather have a Borla but the price is too much and I am not sold on the Volant but I like what I hear.

Just curious, how's the performance on your truck? Ever been to the track?

Well it is a FX4, so im not sure I will be taking her to the track???but maybe Based on what the edge performance test says, Im running a 7 0-60 & a 15.2 in the 1/4 mile. Im hoping that the Volant will get me in the 14's. Do you have any #'s on your truck?
