As far as "new" calibrations, is a July build date new?

I'm disappointed it doesn't work, but I went into this with doubt it would work to begin with as soon as I saw asinatra's issue way back. Just makes me wonder exactly how many PCM codes are out there. Since there is no list of them available from Edge (as far as I can tell) it leads me to think those of us with rarer codes are helping Edge in their research & development that maybe should have been done before going to market, or going to market with *warning this may not support your PCM*. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not pissed, but I work in software development and testing so I know these things happen when turned loose on the public, I'm just venting a little disappointment.

I think they had a percentage of the problems fixed when they put the unit out. They needed to start making some money on some 2004 and 2005 (those they had the calibrations for)to help recoup the costs of manufacture and kind of work issues out as they came along. How can it be considered for the 2006 model when they have 2005's with problems and errors?? I don't know. When it does work for you guys(and I hope soon) i think that you will be pleased. It is very adjustable(maybe too adjustable) and has alot of options. Good luck to you guys. oh yeah, I hope I can get my laptop to want to download updates or I'll be borrowing buddies or neighbors computers. Oh well; small price to pay for what it has done and how it has helped.

I just recieved this email, Im pretty sure it'll help a lot of you guys out. .

The general suggestion is 1 deg for every 2 octane you had adjusted
before. So for you, +1 deg should put you about the same place as what
you had before.

I've been doing few months of research and have decided to buy the Edge product. However, after reading all the update issues I am concern about it. A question I have is, if I had PCM reflesh does that effect Edge's factory/default uploads or updates???? I'm having some doubts...

You should not buy it.

Unless you are 100% sure you want it, you would be better off saving your money.

I installed my EDGE the other day, and it went flawlessly. Nice improvement, cool gauges. Really woke up the truck.

Glad to hear it. ASEMechanic has been posting on another thread about some updates. It's great to have him working with us directly. You don't see that quality of customer support very often today.

He is running a level 2 tune. I ran a level 3 for about a month and got a solid 3.5 MPG increase...however, I have been running a level 2 for the last week and MPG is back to close to where it was before (Maybe .75MPG better). It seems at least in my case the MPG increase came with level 3 not 2.
