I'm using the default. It's good enough for me on the level 2. When I was on Level 3 it scared my wife when I was passing a car and it shifted so hard at WOT. I was impressed, but she just didn't get it. Guess it's a guy thing. Anyway, I'm staying with the default.

I don't know the shifts at default are a little sloppy and with them set higher, they seem to be getting better.

My default shifts are ok so i upped them. They didnt seem to get much better, but when it kicks down it REALLY shifts hard. You would think that the shift firmness would affect the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 instead of the 4-3,3-2 shifts.

Yes. That 15 seconds is pretty important for the edge to read the pcm.

• ERROR CODE 0xF1 (IN CUSTOM MENU) – If you are receiving this error
code while trying to configure your custom options, disconnect from the OBDII
connector, turn the key to the ON position, and plug the Evolution back in. After
getting to the main screen (past Intro and Disclaimer), wait 15 seconds. This will
give your unit time to load parameters it needs to perform the custom changes.
You should now be able to perform your custom changes.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!! when it said disconnected I ended up having to go to control panels>system>hardware>device manager and had to delete the edge product it found. When it saw that new hardware was plugged in, it didnt recognize it and refused to recognize it. Anyway, I had to put it back to stock before I uploaded so I went in my truck and did that and came back and uploaded it. I then went back to my truck and plugged it in and the mpgs worked but I couldnt do anything else. It came up with that error message. So I disconnected it to see if the truck still ran (if stock pcm was working) and I couldnt tell but it did run. So I plugged it back in and WHALA it works. This is one strange tuner, but i like it!

It absolutely amazes me that you guys hook this unit up to your computer and your truck, and never once read the instruction manual.

I know you can read, because you post here, on this forum.

WTF?

On mine, the software that will work with my truck is NOT on their website. The version that matches my hex code will not be on there for a little while (one day, one week...)

No, I read it. Granted, it was when I first got the tuner.

I now somewhat understand asinatra's rage. Mine (OKCM6B5) is not supported yet either. That and also having software issues. Can't read DTC's on the pc. Had 4 DTC errors when reading from the truck.

Edge stated they were about two weeks behind the new calibrations. I could not use the udpate software on my laptop. They kept telling me it was their server, then they said it was a port, then a network or a firewall and finally they said it would not work on my laptop and they don't know why; then I went to the front desk of the hotel, hooked it up to their computer and within a few minutes got the updates. Why is it that my laptop can't download; isn't it a computer(million dollar question). Hope you guys get the errors resolved.

I got a simular song and dance after I attempted to upload the new program. I waited almost 2 weeks to get it, only to wait another week or so to use it
