The new autospring has an offset to keep the spring from rubbing the upper a-arm.

You know what I find interesting? In that auction, it sdays they have sold over 2800 of those kits. Let's do some math.

2800 x $100 = $280,000

$280,000/18 (months) = $15,555.00 gross income per month.

Man, I wish I had been the one to come up with that idea. Lucky bastards!!

Oh yeah, on another side note, my old design Autospring does not rub at all. Don't ask me why, it just doesn't.

I spoke with the guys from Top Gun before I ever bought my truck and their kit looks fine, but I like the build of the AutoSpring better especially since they went to the new offset design. Now I run the Rancho XXX setup

It doesnt hit the upper a-arm, cuz you had a good mechanic help you install it...

Yeah...it's just too bad that Autospring fixed the problem with their leveling kit and won't do anything about the hundreds of kits they already sold. I won't get burned by Autospring again. They won't get another cent from me.

Help me? I think you did the whole thing.

EDIT: That, and I got it aligned at the dealer, and it cost me $24.

Mine didn't either...until I put big heavy wheels and tires on the truck. The extra weight caused the suspension to "open up" more going over bumps, especially when the passenger side drops off a speed bump. The spindle contacts the coil spring and makes a little clunk. It's not bad, but enough to make me think about changing the struts out.

Hey TXF150, I have a question for you. What is the height from the ground to the center of the bottom edge of your front and rear fenders, measured to the highest point in the arch of the fender? I am just curious. Mine are 41" to the middle of the front fender opening and 43" to the middle of the rear fender opening, and I was curious how much higher your truck is. Thanks.

If Autospring never changed their design, would you be happier? Come on man, at $100 it really isn't that big of a dent in your pocket book. If your really that worried buy the new one, and Im sure you could sell yours for a few bucks. .

It's the principle. I emailed them right after I installed it and told tham that there was a problem. They denied that there was a problem, then changed the design to "fix" the problem that they claimed didn't exist. Besides, I already paid $100 for something that probably costs them $15 to make. They made $85 on me once. Fool me once, shame on me...fool me twice, I'm coming around with my .45!

Im not trying to start anything but. .

I just measured my truck and I got the same exact numbers as you. Granted, I have a 1-1/2" leveling kit and you have a 2-1/2" leveling kit. I know the difference is probally 2wd vs 4wd but everyone used to disagree that the Rancho was actually just as big as any other traditional 6" lift.

flares?

TX, Did you measure to the flare or the sheet metal? Just asking because maybe you and Thumper are measuring to different points on the truck. Do the new flares hang lower or higher than stock? Any cutting involved?

BTW, awesome 4x3!! Figured it's worth an extra point just from the good looks
