Rust in new Flowmaster Exhaust Tips

Rust in new Flowmaster Exhaust Tips. Is this normal. Its only in one tip.

Hmmm. Is it possible to get the tips taken off and stainless put on. I mean is this something that is done on occasions?

Yeah chrome tips are only gonna last you 2 years! just take it to your local muffler shop tell him you want some tips like the ones you have on but you want them Stainless steel

Most tips do this, just steel wool it and spray a coat of high temp black in there.

Good deal!! you'll like it! check out my forum on here the FLOWMASTER INSTALLED i got pics of my tips! they are 3.5" by 18" Stainless steel

There is nothing to worry about. The trucks spit out a lot of water from the exhaust. I noticed my tips had a little rust after I had the exhaust done. I have had the tips on a little over 2 yrs. You should be alright for awhile.
