The first upgrade I did was the Edge programmer. I dont believe youre gonna see much results from the air intake. Maybe slight gains with the exhaust. If i were you, I would get a programmer, you'll notice the difference alot more than the intake and exhaust upgrades. Good luck

I was always under the impression that you do the intake and exhaust, then a programmer. If I were to do it I believe all 3 at the same time would give maximum results.

if you have to choose, always do the tuner first, you can always tweak the tunes down the road if you do other upgrades, but the tuner is ALWAYS the best bang for the buck, regardless of what tuner you use

It doesn't matter.
If you do the tuner first and have the tune the way you like it then get an intake and find out you're running a little lean because of the more air your truck is inhaling you can adjust that right away with the Edge. Naturally all 3 at the same time would be ideal but if that's not a feasible option then I'd go with the tuner first. You'll notice it the most.

One more question -

I know some intakes throw CEL's. I know that the XCal2 fixed this issue. Does the Edge as well?

The tuner sends a new prog to the trucks comp. and it learn and adapts to your driving style!

If you us your tuner and then add an intake or exhaust just unconect the batt. and reload the tuner and the proscess starts all over again.

Don't even have to disconnect the battery with the EDGE. Just reprogram. Simple. I have adjusted on mine after a run, then pull over to the side of the road and retune.

I have exhaust and intake mod. Hindsight being 20 20 they say, I would have bought the tuner first. Best bang for the buck! Although I do like the sound of my flowmaster!

Good luck.
