Well guys the title speaks for itself. I installed my magnaflow 16614 last weekend. Was great up until this morning. Loaded my quad up and was heading out for a ride with some buddies. Was cruising on the highway at about 70 when we hit some dips in the road. Well with the weight of the quad and alot of other stuff I had back there one of my pipes got hit and bent/ crushed from the leaf spring. Long story short when I installed the kit the driverside was alittle closer to the leaf sring than I thought it should have but I said oh what the hell it won't hit it. ^&*(^% it did. SO I had to pullover and cut the pipe off right in front of the spare. Now I have to get a new pipe and other hardware because of this little mishap. Oh well can't win them all.

thats why I like to get all my pipes welded

 

that's why I don't wanna buy a kit and install it myself also feel alot safer getting someone that knows what there doing weld it cause if i welded it lol ohhhh boy

 

If the thing is blowing hot exhaust directly at your spare tire you might want to temporarily divert it until you can get the system permanently fixed....

 

^^good point. You should have gotten a professional do it. its not that much more expensive and they will weld it for you (which is a lot better). If you are going to have to but another kit I would wait and visit a local exhaust shop and tell them your deal. I would bring a pic of the tips and setup you want it to look like and they type of muffler and they should eb able to do it. the $100 labor they will probably charge is worth it in the long run

 

I may be wrong but if that kit was made for your truck I would think this should not happen!!

Sorry about your mishap. With both pipes running out the back they were not the same distance from the springs on each side? Just asking, I plan on installing a kit later this year and all that I have been reading I'll probably go with the Magnaflow.
