Update ...

No firm answer still, same **** different fly. I have yet to get the ability to speak to a manager and my average hold time is roughly 45min. There are some other issues, but i will see what he can do first.

 

well new problem.......i had a buddy that would buy the tuner from me even after i told him about the problems i have had... well anyway since it did not work in my truck i figured that i would try it on his first to make sure it would work. well it programmed fine but then the real trouble started!!!! THE TRUCK DID NOT EVEN WANT TO TURN OVER!!!!! NO START!!!! now this tuner officially SUCKS A$$.....the truck still sits in my driveway dead as a doornail....I will call edge's lovely tech support tomorrow to see what i can do as per the manual....now it is a matter of how to fix it...has anyone else had this problem??

 

Haha, yeah it sucks. Only me prob ... If you go to "Restore Defaults" it should work.

tried that did not work... i even went to auto zone and rented a trouble code reader and it said that it was unable to link to the pcm...i hope the pcm did not fry?

 

Try disconnecting the battery and resetting the PCM.

 

yes, after no start i returned it back to stock and no start still unconnected the unit then disconnected the battery for about 10-15 minutes and still no start not even a click tomorrow after i call edge tech support i will have it towed to dealership hopefully they will have a cure

 

Maybe the transmission interlock safety is hosed. Try turning the key to the on position and moving the shifter through the gears and back to Park, then try to start it Just a thought.

I don't know, but I sure as he!! hope it doesn't do it to MINE! I hope you get it fixed. Keep us posted on what happens.

 

I hate to say it but it sounds so... Hide the edge, call the dealership, pretend like you tried to start the truck and it didnt start. I really doubt if edge wont help us update our product, they will really want to cover a $1000 pcm.

 

exactly what i planned on doing the guy that owns the truck is related to the sevice advisor and he told him that he just parked it and it did not want to start and since he bought the truck used about 3-4 weeks ago he said that a friend looked at it and said that it may have been tuned or have a chip in it i guess we will see tomorrow i will keep everyone posted. well at least it did not fry MY pcm when i tried unsuccessfully to use it on my truck..
oh by the way 1 tuner for sale cheap LOL any takers

 

How cheap? lol I don't mind sending it back to Edge for a new one.

Do you really have a 304seriers tire or is it a typo ???

 

i dont have the warranty info in front of me, but i think it said it was only for the original purchaser. I would tread lightly when talking to the support person. Good Luck.

 

My dad just bought a 05 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 in Nov. My trucks went into the shop this morning to have the cam phasers replaced so I took my Edge off Sat and put it on his truck so he can use it while mines in the shop. Now he wants one too.

I have a 305 tire...the 304 is a typo. I will fix it sooner or later.
