Chrome Dash/Interior Kit Installed!!
Chrome Dash/Interior Kit Installed!!
Hi Guys,
Some of you may remember a thread I started a few weeks ago about installing some "Titianium" (Satin Nickel) Interior trim ( https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=222402 ). My initial idea was to do the Chrome interior trim and I talked myself out of it, I instead went with the Titianium color trim for the doors and shifter area. It looked great, but the Chrome interior kept haunting me so I decided to go all out and get the complete Chrome Cover up Kit (covers all the factory "carbon fiber" on dash and doors) plus the shifter console surround and console latch/rear cup holder trim.
This stuff it hard to photograph and the pictures do not do it any jstice but will give you an idea as to how it looks.. There are more photos in my gallery.

Try keeping some interior wax on it and see how that works.
Did I mention that it looks damn good?

Looks great, I wonder if it will get hot in the summer? Where did you purchase it, and did you return the other silver kit? If you don't mind me asking how much was it?
Thanks, your truck is beautiful, I am thinking about tackleing the guage mod you did.

Doubtful, it is just chrome "plastic" and will not heat up like metal.
>Where did you purchase it,
Wood Corp (the manufacturer of the parts) is working with me on creating some interior kits for the cars I deal with at my real job and I have a direct wholesale account with them.
>and did you return the other silver kit?
Not possible. Once the items are installed it is only luck to get them off without destroying them. They use top notch 3M ahesive and it is good stuff, almost too good, once it has set up for 72 hours it doesn't come off easily. I even popped of my door switch panels assemblies and froze them in the freezer for 2 days to try and get them off without damage. I was only able to salvage 2 of the original parts this way (the 2 rear door switch covers).

The Chrome is much more expensive than the standard finishes. They included some custom "non standard kit" pieces for me and full retail on all the parts I got was right at $1000. If you get all the same items I got it would probably be around $600 at the cheapest online suppliers.
>Thanks, your truck is beautiful,
Wow, thank you!

Got for it, it is well worth the effort and very inexpensive to do. Let me know if you start in on it and need some more detailed tips.

How long did it take to put it on? Where did you get it?
