i have the same but i have never tried any "experiments" like that. However, i have ( and many off-roaders ) will put the e-brake on just a little to provide some resistance in slippery situations at take-off and it should work fine then. I would do this with your experiment and see how it works.

I have done that little trick with my Mountaineer since it was 2wd, and it seems to help a little bit. Limited slip isn't as good as a locker offroad, but it's more street friendly when making turns, especially a quick turn on a wet road.

How much did you let the wheels spin. Both tires should spin once the spinning tire turns approx 3 times. They do this so when your making a turn on dry paved surfaces it doesn't lock up or bite due to turning.

Posi and LS are the same, just different names for each. Both use limited slipping clutches. I had one tire on ice and one on pavement one time and I hit it kinda hard and the one free wheel just spun up like I had an open dif. I guess these clutches aren't as tight as they should be.

Thanks Matt. So my 2wd is truly a 2wd, not a 1wd?
