Overall I like the new longer bed. Although it wouldn't fit in my garage I wouldn't mine the extra space for my next truck.

How is it not functional? Not only does it function the same as your truck, but it can haul more crap than a 5.5' bed equipped truck could.

I could see thinking its not as practical due to its length - but it is very functional.

Besides I don't think 1' is going to make a huge difference in parking. There are bigger trucks on the road than this one.

Agree 100%. I got a reg cab 8 foot bed and it's not that big a deal to park. In my opinion the extra foot balances out the truck perfectly. Just add some bigger tires and it'll really look good.

Nice Truck! Longer is better in my opinion.
My motorcycle/tools/toys won't fit in a shorty.

I think just the opposite.
Parking in a garage and the front row at the mall is over-rated anyway.
I guess my truck would be considered a "free range" truck since it lives outside.

Some of these comments leave me wondering how anyone got by back in the 70's and 80's with supercabs and crewcabs with 8' beds.

Those were work trucks, not family cars.

Beautiful truck! I like how the 6-foot bed makes the SCREW look.

I would've waited and bought one of those if it would fit in my garage. Plus I got a real good deal on my 2005! The truck cost $36,100 and I got over $8,100 in discounts before my trade and they overpaid me for that by between 3-4K. They weren't making any sales so they made me a killer deal!!! It took a while to wear them down but I got it done.

I hope you got the reverse sensor on that truck.

Yup - I did. Haven't heard it go off yet except for when I was testing it.

You guys think this truck is big? Have you seen the Mega Cab Ram? It's more than a foot longer than this - but with a slightly smaller bed.

I like the longer bed, but for me the 5'5" works. If I had the 6'5" it would take me 30 minutes to park or leave work.

Looks good to me. I prefer the 5.5 on my wifes, but that extra space sure would be helpful in many cases.

Your truck is nice. If mine had the longer bed I would just get used to it. My truck is purely for pleasure but if I did work or had a bike that required a longer bed that would be nice. Good luck with it.
