DO NOT BUY the lights listed in the original E-bay auction.....They are hideous! I got mine the other day and I was so pissed. I took them out of the box and where the projector is, there is a big bulge in the lense. The lense isn't smooth all the way across like the stockers. I couldn't believe it, it makes them look so stupid. On top of that, I got 2 right side lights so I couldn't use them anyway. I emailed them about it, told them that their pictures are misleading, and there is no way to tell that this "tumor" is on the lense and that I got 2 right sides and I want my money back on these things. I'll probably loose $185 on this mistake...........

wow, that bites. I feel a little guilty for even finding them in the first place now. It seems to never fail. Why can't anybody design something with some taste. Theres the led tails that look good in the pics but turn out to be junk and now these headlights. Bummer

Matt,

Are these like the ones you bought? Different vendor but they look the same. Do these lights come with the bulbs or are those a seperate purchase? I think I put the 9008's from sylvania in mine. Are those regular bulbs or HID. I really don't understand this HID stuff. I have a True Blue Screw and want it to be dark as possible. Black headlights would really add to it I think.

Not for nothing, it really sucks you had such a problem with your purchase. You mentioned that you couldn't see the "bulge" on the lens but it seems obvious there is one present.

Hopefully you get a refund!

Yes, they are the same only w/ black background. I wish I had seen these, because in THAT pic you can see that stupid tumor in them. It really is big and ugly. They come with halogen bulbs in them. HID stands for high intensity discharge, and basically replaces a standard incandecent bulb with a different style bulb. The HID uses very high voltage accross 2 electrodes similar to an arc weld, and makes a very bright light, and they last a LOT longer than halogens unless the burner fails for an odd reason. You see these factory on higher end vehicles usually.

It is pretty obvious in the black ones.....but the clear ones in the pic below are the ones I was talking about.....and unless you know it is there you really can't tell. It looks like it is the chrome around the projector housing, but it is that tumor refracting the light.
