newer 4.6 motor ?

What are the differences between the 04-05 4.6s compared to past models?
I know one would be the Throttle By Wire. What other changes have been made, or is that the only one.

Thanks

I was under the impression that only the 5.4 had the drive by wire. The 4.6 and 4.2 had the traditional throttle cable.

I meant in the F-150's. I know the explorers and mustangs with the 4.6 have drive by wire.

It's drive by wire. There is no other option on the new model V8. I never looked at the 05 V6, but I kinda doubt they would re-engineer the whole truck just to go back to a throttle cable...
Also, they all take the same drive by wire cruise control.
The same throttle setup, etc.

Not to sound stupid, but what does that mean?

I know the only change that has been made that I know of is the TBW.
I guess thats the only change.
