That is true what your saying but that's if u only drop the holes directly down but I've done it the key is to figure out the angle of the spindle so when I dropped mine I dropped 2 inches straight down and I believe back 1/4 inch I don't remember exactly what it was but when u do it u have to be smart about it not only did I still new holes I reinforced it with 1/4 inch steel but it can be done u just need to take the time and think and rethink how ur going to do it... But anyways they actually make relocation brackets now
