Right off the bat I had one bad tire that needed to be replaced and all the tires road-force balanced; it eliminated the steering wheel nibble. At approximately 7500 miles, I developed a slight stutter/hesitation while driving. No particular speed and just about unnoticeable, but once I did notice it, it was hard not to look for it then. It ended up being a bad #4 coil wire. When they fixed the coil wire, they also re-flashed the PCM. At 17,055 miles, I had a water leak on the passenger side floor; the evaporator box was leaking at the firewall. The service department replaced and sealed what was necessary to fix the problem. Finally, I had the notorious 3rd brake light leak. I fixed that myself with RTV silicone. I now have approximately 25K and everything seems to be good. Overall, I’ve been very satisfied with this truck and I consider the problems I’ve had to be small potatoes.

Just answered the question "Has anyone NOT had warrante issues?"

My answer is no, unfortunately, like a couple of others that responded.

You may need to tell them to read the topic as well.

What's scary is for all of the members of this forum, this list of people isn't very long...

Mine was trouble free till about 20K; since then everything has gone downhill.

04 Scab FX4, build date of 01/04, and not a single problem...I'd buy another in a heart beat, if my wife didn't remind me of my allowance every time I look at this forum!

I have 30K on my 2004 FX4, other than oil changes, tire rotations this is what has been done:

1. Brought in for low speed stuttering while turning, dealer fixed super quick, no issues since. (I think there is a TSB for it, limited slip pad was made improperly, causing this issue)
2. Brakes squeaked here and there, could have kept the OEM pads on but I'm pickey, so I picked up a set of Wagner thermo quiets. 1hr in my drive and BAM. A-OK.
3. Squeaky rear sliding window....small glob of die-electric grease. No more squeak.
4. Changed the plugs after reading another thread here. About 2hrs later the job was done. Truck also seems to idle better.

Other than that, no problems!!

Love the truck so far

This is funny about my 2004 supercrew- I have had problems but 0 with warranty issues. At 400 miles a billy bob truck went flying by and blew out my windshield with a boulder. At 4050 miles a garbage truck decided to take an alternate path through my driveway with garbage can still in arm, tearing the bed off the truck and crashing into my wife's car. Insurance company battle and 3 months later= truck with complete rear replacement and 1 repaired car. 1 week later, flat tire with screw sticking out if it. The truck's name is now "Christine". And I never name my vehicles. Lets just say she never likes to be left alone.

Go ahead and roast me for being off topic here, but...

2004 FX4 Screw build date May 04 in Kansas City 24500 miles mostly highway

Nothing but troubles and I don't abuse her.

Dash lights took a dump- Faulty light switch
Drivers fog lamp leaked
3rd brake light leaked
Passenger A pillar handle almost fell off
Throttle position sensor took a dump
Passenger side fog lamp leaked
Rear power window motor died and I hardly ever use it
AC suxs
Rear Diff slipping right now

HORRIBLE gas milage- didn't expect 20+ but ~12 mpg in town is just wrong when I don't drive her hard.

Sorry to say this is my first and last Ford. Truck stickered @ about $40k (Didn't pay nearly that) so you would think the damn thing wouldn't live in the shop. I can get a used car for $1000 that is just as reliable.

Nothing but Jap or european vehicles for me from now on...

2005 Screw 4X2, 12k miles
Assembled in Kansas
2 problems to date...sluggish acceleration (fixed by reflash) and an oil leak at the back of the engine/front of tranny (motor oil). The oil leak has come and gone without further fixing. Perhaps the oil change mechanic did not tighten the oil pan drain bolt tight enough. In anycase, the oil leak stopped by itself.

Overall, this is my first truck but not my first Ford vehicle. This truck is used to haul me back and forth to work, about 500 miles/week. It has been a wonderful experience to drive such a huge truck and I look forward to buying another when the time comes to retire the current ride.

4 Months, 6,000 Miles... Tomorrow I go in for my reflash (If I didnt know of this site I wouldnt be getting it), and when I bought the truck the tires had flat spots. I guess its common here in the desert with these vehicles sitting on SUPER HOT asphault all day. They got me new tires right away, and I dont really consider the tires as a ford quality problem.

I love my truck.
