Calling anyone with Fabtech Lift

when you put your truck and 4 wheel drive and floor the gas does the front driveline hit the front sway bar and make a noise? Can anyone post pics of driveline to swaybar?

I took it to the dealer thinking it was the front hubs not engaging correctly and they tell me that it is the driveline hitting the swaybar, when I look everything looks like it was installed correctly, yet I see where the driveline is rubbing on the sway bar under hard accelleration.

Thanks in advance

fabtech

I have a Fabtech 6" and no problems rubbing anything. I would gladly take pictures 4 u but im in iraq at the moment. The only problem i had not the lift was the grinding of the master spline on the driveshaft. Done though and no problems. Extended brake lines would be great with this kit.

I have no problems as well. Although, if I remember correctly (either this forum or another) a member was complaining about a similiar problem. I don't remember what was done to correct it. My guess is it's an install problem.

I have the fabtech 6" and the front hubs are not engaging properly either. But nothing is hitting the sway bar on mine. I still haven't got a fix on the hubs yet, waiting for my tech manual to come in. If is anything like mine it is the front hubs coming unlocked and relocking again.

Just had mine installed yesterday and they actually had to remove my front drive shaft and make some kind of modification. Don't remember exactly what it was, but I have to go get it rebalanced now, then they'll put it back on. Not sure if this helps, but it was something I had never heard of anyone else doing.

i had the same problem with my fabtech lift after i got it together called fabtech and asked. he told me either i have the sway bar brakets in wrong or else the driveshaft was in backwards. sure enough i rolled underneith and the driveshaft was in backwards. the slipyoke has to be closer to the transfer case. The one yoke that faces the front is alittle more rounder and will give you the added clearance.

here is a pic from when the driveshaft was in backwards. notice the rubber boot from the slip yoke is closer to the front diff. if yours is like that you have to unbolt the driveshaft and turn it around.

My sway bar brackets where on backwards and the driveshaft hit the swaybar when the truck moved. That could be your problem
