Headlights and Autospring

I know that if the answer is out there it is here on this site. For those of you that have installed any one of the 2" leveling kits, have you adjusted your headlights for the new angle of the truck? If so, how the heak did you do it, I see no easy adjustment screw like in the old days.

I appreciate your help as I've got my new Bilsteins and Autospring in the garage ready to install and can't wait to get some pictures and reports up here on the site.

Thanks.

simple, there is a skinny adjustment bolt on the back of each light, near the top.

I've got the 2.5" and I've gotten flashed a couple of times, but if you are in a small car and I have my fog lights on they are bright. So they can get over it, IMO!

Thanks for that info. No offense to the "leave it alone" crowd, but I had a regular car before this and happen to live in an area where SUV's and lifted trucks are everywhere. Hate getting blinded so I'll be as courteous as I can to those that have not discovered the beauty of the F-150!

Thanks for all your input, I'm sure they'll be more.

efexfour,

Drop me an e-mail and I will send you a Ford Factory Service manual pdf file with the adjustment specs.

I just did it the other day, it takes a 4mm wrench or socket to turn the adjustment screw sticking out the top of the lense. Turn it in to adjust the lights down.

when I put mine in I had to adjust mine because I was getting flashed and I could see my headlights were hitting the back of the heads of the small cars in front of me at stop lights it was shinning directly in there rear view mirrors and comeing back at me so I knew it was off. I do believe I falllowed the adjustment procedure in my owners manual. it is simple and works good. my lights were off quite a bit. no more flashing.
