Sorry, haven't driven mine very much under a quarter tank yet so I have no idea.

Usually, there's a 3-5 gallon buffer once the low fuel light comes on. I wouldn't recommend running empty if you can avoid it, this may cause damage to the fuel pump in the long run.

My light came on and I had about a 35 mile stretch to a gas station. (I was sweating bullets, to be honest) Anyway, when I filled up I had exactly 2 gallons left. (I was averageing 16.2 mpg on that trip. So I'm guessing around 4 gallons.

The gas light on my dash has been very consistant and reliable. It goes on when I have between 4 and 4.5 gallons left in the tank.

My low fuel light came on towing my 25' camper and it started trying to quit 35 miles later at 60MPH (11.5 MPG). It started spitting on an upgrade and I had to sway back and forth to keep it running until it reached the top of the hill. It ran OK on the level to a gas station 2 miles farther. It held 26.2 gallons in my 26 gallon tank. I only tried it because I had a motorcycle in the bed with gas in it and a hose in my camper.

I agree, when my warning light comes on I head to the gas station and have about 4 to 5 gallons left in the tank, although I wouldn't chance it to go to far though.

I have the 35.7 gal tank. If the light comes on and you reset it, it will come back on in 10 miles. I have had my light come on, and reset it three times before I hit the gas station. I filled it up and put 34.? gallons in it. I know for sure, running at 70 mph when it comes on the first time, I have at least 30 miles to go and still be safe.

Mine says "50 miles to empty" when light 1st comes on. It is right on the money every time.
