Really need your help here.

I am really tempted to buy these 06 Harley Rims/tires on Ebay, but I am very concerned about some of his feedback. He is quite aways from me so I can't go pick them up. 2200 bucks is a lot of scratch to send out in never never land. I need some advice as whether I should stay away or not. There is another set on Ebay as well, but they are asking over 3 grand plus shipping, plus they are slightly used and has a scratch on one wheel. Here is the auction link for the set I am considering. Let me know what you all suggest. Thanks!

I'd be a little leary. Seems like a good price but no center caps...Makes me wonder if they are stolen? Hate to say that but you never know....

Maybe we have a member that lives close to this guy and can check them out for you. If you can't get anyone to check them out, maybe we can work something out. It looks like he is about an 1.5 hours from me.

That is true. They are usually transported without the center caps mounted.

I think your being a little hard on the guy saying they are stolen. And reading some of the negative feedbacks weren't that bad - one guy didn't send him a good check, so he didn't send the merchandise.

Why don't you e-mail him and ask where he got them. Maybe he bought a brand new truck, put bigger wheels on, and used the center pieces on those.

I wouldn't be worried about buying them from him. hmmm...

Wow, that is a very nice offer I'll wait and see if others chime in and perhaps see if someone is closer. Honestly, my gut tells me to stay away, but I'm still not sure yet.

Well my mother-in-law lives in Belleville, so if my wife wants to go visit this weekend, I will have an excuse to get out of the house.

You have a great point there, I have emailed him, just got a reply (I feel a little better now):

"Most, if not all of the negative feedback is because I had an employee who was handeling this account who was not only stealing money, but also, not taking care of issues. I have been pre-occupied with other matters for the past 6 months and turned it over to him. He has since been fired and as I have retaken control, I have straightened out, or made every effort to straighten out, all of the problems he has caused with buyers. Many of the issues have been resolved and are in the process of having feedback removed. I will give you my personal number and you may call me so that I can discuss any issues or concerns you may have. The tires are new and in perfect condition. Once purchased, and paid for, the will ship out ASAP"

Thanks

If you do it pay with PayPal. I hear they really slam people who aren't honest sellers, and they will do a much better job if there is a problem than Ebay.

I like to think everyone in the world is honest but we know better than that.

When the guy hijacked my truck pics and tried to sell it as his on ebay I contacted ebay and it took them for ever to even contact me back. Then I won a rearend for my old 99 f150 and it took the guy over a month to ship it.

I try to avoid ebay anymore.

Unfortunately, you're right about that. Ebay is great for me selling stuff, as I know my honesty is never in question. Still on the fence about the wheels though....but damn I want em. I'm gonna sleep on it.

I would definitely used paypal.

They're only in auction for a little over a day...if ya wanna get em I'd wait and see if anyone bids on them before paying the buy it now price. Though I'm surprised they've been listed on there that long and no bids

I wouldn't by them. I bought an amp and sub from an ebay store that had a couple of hits on his feedback. He even stated in his auction that he had a bad seed in his company and it was better. To make a long story short he tried to bill me twice and every email response was nasty or a automated responce and when I got the amp think it was a reman. it was to be new. Moral of the story if they have iffy feedback keep looking. I'm not going to fall of that one again. If that means I miss a good deal oh well
