Hell, that 150 will probably be crusing down the interstate to get to your dealer at 65mph with the cruise on the whole way. I'd be more concerned about how it was test driven by some yahoo while it was on the original dealer's lot for the past two weeks.
Yes, I talk from experience. Out of about 18-20 trucks, I've ordered one. 90% of the others were dealer traded, and the last 10% were on the lot. All bought sight-unseen from 350 miles away, and the least on the ticker was 35 miles, and the most was 1400. The 1400 was on a truck that was just offloaded at a dealer three states over, and that was all they could find that fit my bill. Yes, I wanted it. Yes, I could have ordered one. Yes, I could have changed my options. No, there were not any problems. Not in the first 60,000 I put on her in 10 months, anyway.
Go for it. Don't you know F-150 means TOUGH? It's not a Daimler product. Most of the porters I have seen and know are old farts that are just looking to get out and don't like working as a Walmart greeter. The dealer can pay 'em cheap, they are easy on the vehicles, and they don't require maintenance like the youngins'. Unless you know Larry Stewart or Mario are driving it home, I wouldn't worry. Of course, if you could get them to autograph the hood, I'd do that, too.)

However, for me, I am a dam virgin!! This is my FIRST TRUCK..I am 64 years old, will be 65 in a couple months. This is my first automatic. Out of 15 to 17 cars, all had 2 seats, all stick shifts. So, this is a different, very different world for me. I am buying this truck to haul my motorcycles in a trailer. However, I am picky about who drives my chit, and real picky if I am buying something new, such as I am doing now. However, after reading all the feedback I have been getting on this subject, now I could very well let the dealer have his drivers drive it the 160 miles and not feel bad about it. However, since they have already offered and I accepted the duty of driving it back, I will do it.
I will be autographing it myself!!
I have special chit that I put on the back of my trailer and leather racing suit..Black Mamba will be the name of my F150. And I hate to say it, but I drive with spirit in everything I drive. Now, with trucks, it will remain to be seen,

I did the same thing, they located the only remaining 05 F150 with the options that I wanted, and it was 650 miles away in another province. We got the dealership that had it to courier the paperwork for the truck over, they PDI'd it, I completed the deal at my local dealership and got my insurance plates. I rented a car and drove out to the other city, put my plates on and drove my new truck home. It was a nice way to get introduced to it.
Oddly enough, I did the same thing with the last truck I bought before it. The one I wanted was 200 miles away. The dealer arranged a dealer swap, so I drove out a new GMC 1500HD, dropped it off, pulled the D-plate, put it on my new truck and drove it home. The next day I drove back into my dealership, where I gave them their D-plate back, we completed the paperwork on my new truck, and I got my insurance/plates for it.
Not all dealerships will let you do this, but I made it clear that it was a deal breaker and my trade-in/purchase was hinging on this.

) more, but I don't think that is important. :the warranty begins at the mileage specified on the title, which is whatever mileage it has when you sign the dotted line. You dont get screwed out of warranty mileage because of things like that.
I dont think it is a big deal personally to take it with a couple hundred miles on it if it is what you want
